Ok I had planned on getting the MT's. And theres going to be a badass driver taking it down the track these first few times so im sure he will do everything right and push it pretty hard.

Not sure when I will make it to the track though. Someone *cough* dad *cough* isn't excited to see their son do what they did 40 years ago...

**** man i just might. We have to meet the guy that tunes the cars at the track though so that might be tough but maybe.

I have a 19 year old son and it would be the coolest thing ever to spend a night at the track with him. At some point you might want to ask your dad to go to the track with you as a father-son night out. Then ask him to make a pass in your car so you can see how a pro does it (yes stroke his ego a bit even if it's not true, lol). Then say you want to give it a try

Can't hurt to ask!

Were going to the track at somepoint no doubt about it. He is mad at me and wont even talk to me because I put too much oil in my other car and he flipped out.

This is killing me. My dad want's to get the wheels and radials on before we go to the track. I have already specified that I want c5 z06 wheels. 17x9.5 with MT radials. He says he is going to order them but he has yet to do so... Im dead in the water. But yea my car is smokin like a sob since we took out the catalytic converters. Now i only have two O2 sensors and shes burnin rich. But lord almighty how i am hoping and praying for that 12.90

You should of just gone to the track when you first bought it and see where you are at. Then mod it and go back and see your improvements. If you do ever end up going make sure you take out all the excess weight. Back seats, spare tire, ect. It might turn that 13.01 to a 12.99

I've heard stories before from people in their teens about their fathers.. they always make their dads sound weird.

maybe MY dad was the weird one?

Or.. perhaps your dad said somthing like "wait till I get home to put that oil in" and you said "oh I can do it it's only oil" and did it anyway?

I'm not accusing you, I'm speaking from personal behavior. I once toppled an entire shelf system in my dad's garage cos I was too impatient to wait on his help with something.

He wasn't mad tho.. I got it back together before he got home.

I don't think we will get into weight reduction like that. But yes we are taking out the jack and spare. But how do we know my car won't run 12.9's already??

what my dad said "Seth, if you don't keep oil in that car im going to take it away from you. See this dipstick? See how it says add 1 quart? you better do that right now god dammit"

I did what I was told... Could be worse...

Mid to Low 13s defiantly. It you stall it you should reach high 12s cam n head it ur looking at low 12 high 11

idk about high 12's with a stall if he resembles a decent driver her oughta at least run some lowish 12's like 12.3 or so. bottom line dont take it to the track expecting 12s right off the bat unless your some prodigy driver i just dont see it happening on your first track visit
