How does this setup sound to you?

Went to the track but didn't run the car. It's not done yet but my friend ran a 8.89 at 151 in his S10 with a new motor and a spray. He told me that his old WS6 with an A4 with headers, lid, 3.42's, radials, and tune from the same guy I'm getting mine from ran 12.5 at 113. I think I said that already (on my phone) but if he ran that idk why I can't hit 12.9. Sorry for saying it over and over but I'm so freaking excited.
JK man but seriously just let us know what you run and stop with the "what i hope to run" stuff.
OP-your dad prolly doesn't want you to drive the car because your 15-16yrs old. He doesn't want it to be faster because your a kid and he doesn't want to see you dead. If your sitting on your *** all night after school that could possibly mean you don't have a job or your own money. He doesn't want to buy a bunch of parts that make the car way far from stock. Also, he doesn't want to have to work on it or have it worked on when you tear it up "racing" it.
Be happy that you have one at all. No way in hell when my son turns 16 that hes getting a LS1. Maybe if the top speed limiter is set to 80mph. lol
Also, if I had to bet $100 I would say that it will not hit 12's. Not saying its impossible, but thats what I would bet on.

Just to let you guys know... apparently my TA was just lighting up the tires when you smashed down on it. That was with old stock wheels on crappy used goodyear street tires. So until my wheels get here (who knows when that will be), I can't go to the track. needless to say im pissed.

I'm sure that's true but my dad says he smashes the gas and the tires just spin. He doesn't want to go the the track if the crappy street tires won't bite. I'm sure they would if you heated them up but I'm ordering some MT et street radials tomorrow. It's been 10 business days since we ordered my wheels though. I get to drive it home tomorrow though 
The track is an entire different game..
I use to spin and kick side ways from 20mph when my white car was stock. Cut 1.9 short times dead hooking at the track in 40 degree weather.
Prepped concrete is way different than asphalt.

I'm young like you well not that young(19) but my advice to you would be get off your dads wallet and get a job to support your habit. My car is a 2002 ws6 a4 stock. Easing into the launch my best time was 13.6 at 104.88mph with a 2.2 sixty. Needless to say GOOD LUCK on a 12.9

You just said it... 13.6 on a stock ws6 with almost gone street tires. I can only assume that my car, not me driving but just my car, can hit a 13.0 or 12.9 with et street radials. We have been driving the car around town these past few days and my dad took it out with me in it. Even though we don't know what time it will run, it's a damn fast car.

That car is plenty enough for a 1st year driver. My dad bought me an lt1 for my 1st car and eventually i worked and saved enough to buy myself an ls1. IMO kids my age your age shouldnt have cars of this amount of power. As stated by several other members above these cars WILL GET AWAY FROM YOU VERY QUICKLY. BE CAREFUL dont drive like a jackass. A wreck or a ticket will be a real speed buzz kill save yourself the hassle and money by using your car with responsiblity. This is advice coming from someone whos only a few years older then you. Ive had mine about get me in trouble in more then one occasion and i have several tickets that arent worth speeding.
DONT STREET RACE!!! but if you do it anyway please pick a nice straight road with FEW cars and a divided median to so if you lose control you wont hit someone head on. Have fun with your car bro take care of it and it will take care of you.

You could run in 3000DA where he was running in 200DA.. That alone would make you have to have a nice set of mods on him to match his time. Stop looking at what a handful of others cars run (without knowing all the data) and comparing your car. Until you have seen literally hundreds of different setups run hundreds of passes and know all the mods and all the data, stop.
Also, it is not fast.

Yes I take care of my car very well. At least we have cars right?
And for a 15 year old kid, I would say this car is fast... for me. If I do run what I want it to, that's going to beat new camaros and such. I don't mean to keep going back to beating a camaro I'm just saying. Like I saw a GT500 at the track with a best time of 13.7 on a cold night. So If I get someone that can't drive or there car is just slow i don't see why my car couldn't out run theirs.

Guys... The weather is ******* perfect. No joke. It's 57 degrees with 50% humidity. Imagine what it will be like tonight when we take my car to the track. My dads mechanic is hoping for a 9.60 in his nova.
