yeah! do poly engine mounts at the same time too! they're like 60 bucks...

also...get the car IN THE AIR high in the front. iirc the drivers side header slides in going straight up then rotated forward into place.

it could probably be done in about an hour if it all goes smoothly, and you don't have any custom fabbing to do for the exhaust.

I would go with the GM gaskets....and you will have to take off your steering knuckle...just 1 bolt up top and 1 bolt on bottom...it'll probably take you 10 min to take that off...oh and you should takethe coolant temperature switch off along with the spark plugs...besides that its pretty much straight forward

i did hooker longtubes, all info so far is exactly right, dont use paper gaskets, the oem metals are awesome, and if u do the engine mounts, when you remove them to put the new poly mounts on, then u will know what were talking about. mine were horrible.
it wasnt hard at all, it was more of a PITA to get the Y pipe set right than anything, headers were easy.... just get it high enough, and snake them in

IIRC its the sensor right above the first spark plug on the drivers side.

Look up the Pacesetter Longtube and poly mount for dummies. Great article. With a lift, it will go pretty smoothly I would think. If you have everything you need, it wont take long at all. I reused my stock gaskets and got new bolts. Most people get new bolts from GM.

There is a small metal tab on the drivers side of the block that you may need to file just a little to get them in.

Make sure you have extensions or new o2's just in case.

Good luck man.

my pacesetters slid right on like a glove. Wish i had done motor mounts while i was in there. it took me longer to get the stock manifolds, y pipe and crush clamped on borla car back off that it did to slide the lt's in and bolt them up. I went ahead and bought new gm bolts and new gm mls gaskets.
