Im torn between a Gibson catback, Magnaflow catback, or the SLP LM2. I have only heard them on youtube, but sometimes they sound different with the video quality. Which one has the best performance gain?
I want something with a low rumble, at idle and at WOT i want it to sound mean, but not obnoxious.

Obnoxious is a loose term considering all catbacks and TDs have their place with our cars. It' tricky to base your decision on our opinions.. I can tell you that once I heard TDs in person, I new what I wanted....and I got it... I've had flowmaster and LM and it just didn't hit the spot. Flowmaster sounded like a fking truck...LM was loud, but just stupid raspy..Sounded ok, but the rasp just made the quality sound like **** imao. I've heard a couple magnaflow setups and their just too quiet for me.

I finished installing my LT's today, but I will connect them to my Y and Hooker Aerochamber tomorrow.
The Hooker sounded good with the stock manifolds and cats, but wasn't loud enough. It should be much nicer tomorrow when it's all done.

I can vouch for Magnaflow. I have O/R Y + Magnaflow and stock manifolds, it's deep and has a lot of bass when cruising around, but at WOT or really when you're above about 3500 RPM it gets pretty nasty sounding. I bet a set of LT's will just emphasize that tone even more.

Sweet thanks for all the replies. Yeah I'm probably gonna keep this build as smog legal as possible. (im in smog **** land) Until I pay off the car
. Just want a little rumble and from what I have read shorties are a waste of money. Just probably gonna do the bolt ons for now, then hook up the suspension so I can hit the canyons.
Anyone ever have the Gibson on??? I heard a soundclip on YouTube and it sounded pretty good, but I bet in person it sounds different.
Also is anyone lives in SD, CA and has just a cutback or something it would be cool to be able to meet up so I can hear your ride in person.
