TBryne has a stage 8 locking LS1 header bolt kit. Used it on my headers on the T/A about 18 months ago. No problems or issues. I will use another for the RS. I think Thunder also carries one.

A lot of people use the stock ones.

Nice website, but it doesn't list any dyno numbers or track times. I'm kinda curious....

Stock ones are awesome to say the least. I have done multiple 10+ installs on 6 different headers and the stuff some of the Companies send (Hooker, Jet Hot, Pacesetter) are short and really not all that great.

Oh and none of the stock ones have backed out....

Get the ARP header studs. It'll make installing the headers easier because you can hang the headers on the studs and then thread the nuts on. This compares to holding the header flange and positioning it to match the header mount bolts in the head with one hand and the other hand trying to thread the bolt in.

They are great bolts. A lot of people use them and they do what they are supposed to do without many (if any) bad reports on them. You don't have to use the locks if you don't want to.

I have the stock bolts and NEVER have had one loosen, not even one thread. Don't waste $35.00 on header bolts when you don't need to.

And Thanks for the advice well remember i drive a 3.4 firebird and my stock ones are a PITA and have so many miles on them. I would have spent $10 just getting washers and bolts from my work advance auto parts so i think i came out well.
