Ordered a set this morning on amazon. Can't wait to get them and see how they fit on a 2nd gen with holley mounts. If they don't work, I can always mod them or sell them locally. Thanks

I finally got my 1 3/4 race headers and y-pipe installed, the headers fit really really great and the guy at the shop where my car was at thought they fit better than the Kooks on his Z28. The only problem I had with them is I cut notches in the y pipe for more clamping to the headers and also for the y pipe where it went together at, I'm going to get the Mufflex clamp that was listed on this thread just for a little added reassurance that it doesn't bounce alot while I'm driving it since it is a daily driver.

Thank you for the business.. The new Y-Pipes we're getting in next month will have those slots on the female ends.

Thanks

1 7/8" headers ordered from Amazon! I'll probably go with the TSP y-pipe because of the merge but i wanted to get the headers while you guys had them in stock. cant wait to get them installed.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but what is wrong with the merge on the Speed Engineering y-pipe? It's identical to TSP, and is an actual merge rather than a hole and a weld to the side of a pipe like many other brands.

I guess that I remembered wrong. I didn't think that it was the same stamped merge. They don't have it in stock right now but if they do when I'm ready to order I'll just get it from them.

Nope, still trying to finish up the 07+ trucks. Process takes a while unfortunately. And not to mention expensive.

are you giving the package price for those who ordered headers while the y-pipe is on back order?

I dont think we had anyone on back order, but maybe one or two. We cranked up the price on our website so no one would buy them while out of stock. If you were the one or two that ordered before we received our Y-Pipes, and there is a price difference yes we can credit what ever the difference is.

Thanks
Sean

I ordered just the headers while the y-pipe was on back order and i was worried that the 1 7/8 headers were going to go on back order as well.

F110Mech: Our header and Y-Pipe pricing individually hasn't changed. If you ordered them at the same time, or they were shipped together we can give you the combo price since shipping cost less etc. If they were purchased individually our pricing remains the same. Please call, email, or PM us if you have further questions regarding your order.

slowwssix: Yes, the Y-Pipe will work just fine.

Thanks
Sean

It would work but I wouldn't use it. Pacesetters y pipe has a complete crap merge that is costing you power. It's $120 for 5-15 hp depending on your current power level, and many times a better sounding exhaust because it helps reduce rasp.

slowwssix: Thank you for your order!

AnotherWs6: Lol, we still plan on making one at some point next year. We just have a few other things to knock out first unfortunately.
