Any chance you'll be doing them in black sometime in the future?

Default Speed Engineering Race Version Headers Now Available!!

Finally got around to installing my 3/4s and y pipe. Fit is Perfect!!! Installed by myself. Pretty simple. Would be a breeze with help! 2 hours on passenger side, after fighting with vehicle not being high enough, then removing valve cover to try to go in from above, then ending up dropping km on pass side. Driver side literally fell into place. 30 mins tops. I used bolts and not studs. Had to get creative with fingers when holding header, gasket, and threading bolt. But nothing too difficult and once one bolt is started the rest were a cinch. Y Pipe is perfect fit as well. No modifying, except cutting off the 2.5 reduced end of y pipe.
highly recommend.
Thanks Sean!!

Wow you guys just can't win with your manufacturer. Any idea how long until the new batch of 1 7/8 with original collector ad merge spikes(hopefully) are available? I understand the current batch has to sell first.

Thank you guys...

samerickson89: No current plans sorry.

Zach-R: No kidding lol. ETA on the next batch of 1 7/8" my guess would be the middle to end of next month.

Thanks

Ordered my 1-7/8 headers on Saturday. Can't wait to get them.
Ordering the TSP ORY though as I'm on a bit of a timeline and can't wait for the SE version to arrive.
Also went ahead and ordered EGR intake block off and prothane mounts to go with this mod.

You have me convinced to go this route for my SS, as soon as I can unload some of the spare parts laying around. Are we still expecting 4-5 week back order as your website shows for the ORY?

Is this the new position of the 02 sensor port.....or the old position...?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS1-Camaro-F...-/261528412055

It looks too close to the primaries......

Any problem with welding that closed and putting it in the Y about 3 inches downstream from the end of the collector....?

FgReed: Thank you for your order.

JamesD.: We launched a new website a few weeks back: http://www.speed-engineering.com/

LS6427: We have never changed the O2 sensor bung on our 98-02 F-Body headers. They have always been in the same location.

The Y-Pipes are approx 2 weeks out at the moment. We have plenty of the 1 3/4", and are getting pretty slim on the 1 7/8". Probably another couple of weeks on those.

Thanks
Sean

Sean,

I need the 1 7/8".........so if I order the 1 7/8" today on your website......will I have them in about two weeks in Ft. Lauderdale to install....?

I get home from the Middle East on July 10th and I will need to install them immediately because my current LTs are literally all broken and the primaries are rattling around in the collectors......can't really drive the car.

The outlet size of the Y.....what diameter is that...? 3.5".....?

.

SE header thread still going strong. I'm glad I got my sons when I did. All was in stock and had them in 2 days. The install was so easy when having no AC and a tubular K-member. It ook my son and I 30 min to install (old manifolds already off of course).

The only issue we ran into was the SE y-pipe was necked down to fit stock I-pipe. But it was going to shop the get the entire system done with Hooker system out back and cutout installed. So he cut off the reduction and welded it up nice a pretty.

Sean,

I just ordered the 1 7/8" LTs...race version. Hope to get them in about 2 weeks....

I've been getting pricing at a few local shops to ceramic coat or hi heat powder coat them.....

Doesn't cost that much really. $250 for the Hi Heat Powder Coat.

Do you recommend Ceramic Coating or Hi Heat Powder Coating....?

blak_ls1: We are probably another month to month and a half before we receive our next batch.

LS6427: Replied to your PM.
