I just heard that they are going to start shipping in March... no official dates, but soon.

See, I knew they would pull through, now if they just make the power claimed...

Yeah, but do we know without a shadow of a doubt that they are going to fit on a 4th gen without any modifications needed? Again, the lack of MSD being proactive regarding this intake baffles me. And to add, it sounds like there have been several people that have posted in this thread that they specifically talked to people at MSD about some of the same things I have questions about, and no one was able to give them a clear answer. I hope these intakes do what they claim, and I also hope they fit without issue, but I'm not going to be the guy who takes a chance that they don't until I have confirmation from guys I trust on here that this intake indeed does fit.

That is the big question mark.

Stay tuned guys, I will be getting my hands on one by the end of March, and will do a full writeup of fit, finish, install, etc etc.

Dyno numbers, well, I'll try to do an A:B swap from a ported FAST 90 to the MSD, but it's going to be on a LS3 416 with an F1-A procharger.

Eh. That's really not gonna show any of us **** to be honest.

Fit and finish will be the biggest telling factors for the rest of us.

I know you'll do a great writeup Brien. Fitment is what I'm most concerned about. I'm still waiting to see how the Vararm intake stacks up.

I know it on a boosted motor isn't what the NA guys want to see, but at least it'll show fitment issues. I guess I can always remove the charge pipe and do a dyno pull that way.

If you're doing it that way: at least make sure to also do it with a baseline on the fast!

Well, I don't own a dyno, so doing a lot of testing like that is going to be expensive... I'll see what I can do.

I'm guessing pulling the charge pipe won't give us NA guys any real idea anyways... Since your car is tuned for the boost.

I spoke with MSD yesterday and they said they won't start shipping until around April 13th.

I've got a personal email from someone in the company that says otherwise. The date told to me was March 24.

Brien, how soon after you get the intake will you be test fitting it? I'm very curious how much room there is going to be, and if any cutting is going to be needed. Have you decided on fuel rails or TB?

As soon as I get it, it'll be on the motor, maybe not running yet, but on the new motor.

I lost my motor on the way back from LS FEST, so this winter I've been getting things ready for the new build.... LS3, 416ci, F1A, 17/8" headers, MSD intake. Should be fun.

I think everyone is hoping that your date is the actual ship date. I'm just passing along what MSD told me.

Sounds good. I know you'll keep us posted. Are you assembling the shortblock, or are you getting it already together?

Shortblock was built by Thompson motorsports. I can't say enough good things about them. Kyle was so professional and friendly to work with, it was great.

Here it is getting ready to put it back in the car, possibly this weekend. (Sorry took the pic with an older iPad, quality sucks)
