Help identify 243 head port work

Default Help identify 243 head port work

A friend had these heads and said there was some bowl blending work done on these. Excuse my newbness, but can any one help me verify this? I can see some machine marks, but they look like they may be from replacing the valve seats. There is a slight lip on the back side of the seat, it's not sharp, but I can feel it with my finger. Thanks.

Can you post some more pics and take some measurements inside the throat . There appears to be some work done but not much to get excited about .

My guess is it's had new seats put in it. Those look like tooling marks not port work. Just my .02

I can't see someone having a die grinder in hand and
not even touching the valve guide bosses. And if you
feel a ridge on the back of the valve seat inserts,
ditto.

When I did mine there was plenty of evidence.

If they were "ported" at all, it wasn't enough to be
visible.

They may have had a valvejob. Those cuts in the throat could even be from the factory valvejob.

The only thing I see is the chamber wall on the intake has been un shrouded. They are 2" valves correct ? Get a good valve job and open the throat up 1.78 - 1.79 blend the bowl and call it a day .
