Thanks for finally some good information. I'm looking for replacement size or part numbers to replace the bullets as you said.
It would be super if Speed Engineering offered a replacement for the originals for folks that want something quieter for DD's. Even if they were to sell Borla's or Flowmasters, whatever. But something you could cut the Bullets out and replace that were the right size and length.
Thanks Bspeck82.

Feedback was supplied. Buyers know that it's loud as hell as supplied, no questions asked.
SE may offer a more quiet version of their true dual exhaust in the future based on said feedback.
Until then, DIY options have been provided to quiet it down.

I'm afraid some of you are a little to sensitive.
My intent was not criticism of the exhaust nor of Speed Engineering. Please show me where I said anything bad except that they were too loud. I may have missed somewhere in the nearly 1000 posts were someone else said out right, "This system is too loud and I don't like it". I merely stated it was to loud for my daily driver. And it was more of a "get help" question than any kind of complaint. So unwad your panties and take a deep breath.
My intent was to find out if someone has used other mufflers to replace the bullets on the supplied exhaust. Sorry for offending you, but you have added nothing here but drama.
This will be my last reply, so flame away.

Has anyone installed these with a set of Kooks headers? If so, was any modifications needed?

Our true dual kits will require modification in order to fit Kooks headers. They are in the same basic area from what we have heard, but our kits will not just slide on.

Thanks

I agree.
Hey guys, here is a new guy to the forum asking a question and giving his opinion, and he gets a poke in the eye. Loudness is subjective, and the new system was just too loud for him.
Take a look around at what's happening in the news and the internet. People are getting slammed for saying or doing some of the littlest things. It's easy to criticize, but that's not nice or productive. Let's try to just help and try to cut down on the personal attacks.

John

I'm using them with kooks and no issues. Didn't mod anything either.

Idk....they're easy enough to pop out if i want. But do to my unfortunate turn of events i won't have any info on what they do for power for a while. The camarokid put some spirals in his to. He shortened them a bit. I left mine full length.

I read about your motor, sorry to hear that brother. Are you planning to have it running again in the spring? I know you've tossed around a few options for the next setup, it'll be cool to see what you decide!

Ive put about 3000 miles on the car with the exhaust and so far its been great. I love the way it sounds with my cam.

Sadly may end up ditching it, not bc i dont love it or anything. But the car more oriented for the track than daily driving, and it wieghs a ton compared to a dumped Y.

yea it sucks. The ls6 had made more power than ever when i missed the shift. Made a shift handle change to my load cell shift handle and had the load cell set to low.....bad combo lol.

Then the ls7 decided it wanted all the water in the oil pan ......that sucked. Only drove it about 1 mile.
