Default LS2 intake under $400 bucks!!!

Got the word yesterday,LS2 will be cheaper than $400.00
Does take alittle modding but look for COMP to drop pricing on their LSX..

it won't be a direct bolt on... so don't hold your breath on it.

but im sure in the next few months more info will be coming out.

I've already got aluminum stock ready for an adapter plate for modification for my S2 tb

but there seems to be a couple of other issues to deal with.

For now we have them priced at $235.75. That price is not set in stone for now, but it shouldn't change much. As soon as GM starts shipping I will be able to give a more solid price...

So, 400 + 235.75 + 20-30 for standoffs....
$665 + 90mm TB

Can't you use the stock rails raised up? I thought I read that somewhere....

And whats the point of an adapter, I thought this intake was very similar to an LS6 with the exception of the TB area.

Don't forget some sort of injector adapter... From what I've read, they are different diameter.

Curious to see if that price will stay that low when the C6 starts to ship. GM is known for changing prices.

Wow, sounds like a bit of project to get this thing on there.
Hope it's worth the gains after all that 'surgery' and expense.

I dont know if it will be worth it..
U know Comp will probably drop the price of the X and if they do I'll just buy that one for my car.Its worth 10 to 12RW and if I ever decide to build a big motor it'll come in handy

No, I believe the 235.75 was referencing the price of the intake manifold itself as gmpartsdirect has them listed for 200.00 plus 40.00 for shipping.

Holy crap that is cheap for an intake, even if it takes some modding to fit, besides a lot of mods do.

Couldn't you buy the ls2 intake with the ls2 fuel rail? Will it hook up to our fuel line?

I read in another thread that you can use the old style injectors with a larger o-ring. Honestly it would not take a whole lot of modification to make it fit.

Is that possible, that much cheaper than the LS6?
