Most Quiet Long Tubes?
I have a stock cam and the hooker cat back. I'm going to buy lt's and catted y-pipe for my 98 Z28, but I need it to be as quiet as possible because of the european noise levels required over here in Germany. So which brand longtubes+catted y-pipe would you recommend me? Any suggestions?

The quality/characteristic/volume of the exaust note is determined from header collector on back.
Get yourself a catted Y-pipe (any brand) and an SLP Dual/Dual Catback. The Hooker is rather quiet at idle, but screams up top. Another option is to weld a bullet into the I-pipe to supress the sound a bit more on your current Hooker setup.
The crucial components to keeping sound down are cat / catback combo. You may still need to weld that bullet in the I pipe in the end.

Just for your information we do not have kinda good prepared drag racing roads in Germany as you are used to in the U.S. The place where that drag racing event took part is an old airport lane that is no more in use and it has a road grade tendency of 20%. One of my american friends has a stock 2004 Z06 (405HP) and his best was 13.06 seconds in the quarter.
Thanks for the tipps on the descreened MAF tuning sources, Jason at texas speed has changed all the settings to my pcm for my mods including the descreened MAF. I just hope I can pass the emission inspection here with a set of lt's and catted y-pipe and a stock muffler. Well we'll see...

and QTP LTs with catted Y are a good place to start too.
