I don't know about SLP, but i have my hooker lt's and my car is low and i have had nooo problems....

 

the SLP lt'z hang really low when on a stock ride height car, you loose about two inches....they do bang.

Now imagine them on a lowered car.....ouch!!!! There are other headrs like the kooks mentioned above, dyantechs, QTP, Any thing with the "grotty" (spelling?) design....that took really nice. I only bang the y-pipe on high bumps and im on prokit....just like the old stock pipes used to bang

I've seen SLP LT's on a non-lowered SS and if it was lowered it would hit everything. Those things hang low.

 

if you dont have the slp lt's now dont get them.... short collectors and hang down lower than others... not as good of HP gains as the qtp's or kooks...

im pissed about it.... i wasn't a regular on this board when i got them!

 

are there any performance springs that don't lower or maybe just lower like .5 inch?

 

your best bet are 1in drops, from BMR or springs like that. and SLP headers suck major ***. Go with kooks or qtp's for sure.
