Well, the Voltmeter I bought is on crack, and doesn't have settings like that. On the DC volt check, it just sits there and randomly displays between 34 and 71 volts not even touching anything. Looks like I'm out 25 bucks.

a file...or dremel...or drill with some kind of decently strong grinding bit it can grab on to will work just fine...and like someone said be4 ig you go over the limit, tap the bump with a tapping bit...and put a screw in it..and adjust where you want the blade to stop like that instead of having to worry about where to stop grinding

did this mod tonight, worked pretty well but I cant tell a difference really, Im sure it helped some I just cant feel it but I go by the every little bit counts method.

For all you guys that accidentally go over, I just put some electical tape on the tab and that worked fine.

Also make sure that you check your reading the voltage with you pushing down the pedal from inside. My multimeter's cables were long enough that I could put mine on my windshield and read it from inside. Just using my hands I was getting a 4.69-4.70 reading, when I mashed the pedal to the floor (ie like at the track) I was getting 4.74-4.75 readings. I just slapped a couple layers of tape on the tab and that dropped it back down to 4.71-4.72.

This seems like something that is to good to be true. But hey who the hell cares if you guys can feel the difference then it must yield some kind of gains.

but are all years the same max limit voltage? mine is a 2001 and i would want to be sure i would not be going too far bc of not knowing what full throttle voltage is for that year.

Something you should add to this is the voltage before you do the bump stop mod. I know mine was crazy low, it was at like 2.9 volts!!

Its amazing how many people swear by this mod when I can't even get the TB to open all the way without taking the carpet out of my car so removing a stop I don't hit is worthless. So you take that and add in the fact that flow though a "valve" such as a throttle body is measured with square root extraction. So say you can only open your throttle body 81%, measuring flow you are flowing 90% of what that TB can do wide open. Only opens 90%? Well then you're at 95% flow, to me I find the bumpstop mod to be almost negligible. Hell, I couldn't even use it anyway w/o cutting away at my floorboard or shortening my cable.

well i just did this mod bought a 2.99 multimeter from harbor freight and 1.99 for a hand file... it took a little longer with the hand file but im spot on at 4.71 Dead Nutz... But i did notice that when i put the peddle to the floor i was only maxing 4.52 if you look right in front of the battery there a small black half cylinder looking thing with 3 wires running to it i believe its your cruise control. Pop the top and you will see the wire house on the very bottom theres a small piece of green rubber like a bump stomp that prevents you from going WOT just take a flat head and pop that little sucker out of there now you can go WOT as far as the bumpstop on the TB will allow!!! Hope this helps you out Alt and any others that have this problem Sorry i dont have any pics to post but if you just look you will find it...
