I just had the same question & was told that the only difference is the shaft in the canter has to be swapped out with the 99'. Someone else chime in if this isn't correct.

The differance is the throttle shaft you will have to switch it out with the one off the 99. Its easy PM me and illl walk ya through it

Yep that's right. It really isn't that bad though

98-99 are the same

00-02 have the larger cam linkage

The housing is the same, you just need to swap out the throttle shaft & cam.
