Default FLP V-Flange Clamps

The bolt on the V-clamps seem to be too short. I got it around the ORP and header, but I can't connect it Is there something i'm doing wrong?

Generally if those clamps won't close it is because the two exhaust pieces are not seated together. Try tapping the two pieces together while holding closing pressure on the clamp (or put a C clamp around the clamp to apply some pressure).

There are two different sized clamps. 3" ones on the fronts, 2.5" ones on the rears. You didn't put a smaller one on the front did ya?

They will fit. Provided you're using the right size of course. You gotta hold the ORP tight and flush with the collector and then put on the clamp. You can kinda squeeze the clamp with one hand and wiggle the ORP with the other to get it to snug up better. Eventually you'll get a couple threads sticking out of the other side of the clamp and you can start the nut.

If you really can't get it on, try getting a long bolt to 'start' it. Once you tighten it up once, it will be fine. I've taken mine off and on and there is like 1/2" of threads showing when I do it by hand now.

I never did like those V-band clamps.

I took the clamp bolts to the hardware store and got a couple of longer "starter bolts" once you get them pulled in once they are much easier. Also I sprayed mine down with WD-40 first as well as using aluminum foil to wrap around as a sealing aid. Good luck. You're gonna love'em!!!!!
