A4 and ported MAF Ends...
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the PCM looks at MAF flow rates to determine transmission line pressure. A ported MAF or MAF ends allows "undetected" air to pass. As a result, the PCM doesn't increase line pressure to compensate.
Someone else want to chime in here?
Dope
"does that go for GMAFS also. there was $300 down the tube."
At least it looks nice. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

You probably wouldn't see anything until later down the road. I have an A4 with ported MAF ends and 80k miles on my car. I race quite often too. Haven't ever had any problems with the tranny. Then again, every car is different.

<strong> or does it not effect GMAFs since they are calibrated for more airflow? </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Its calibrated...so don't worry, you're cool <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
<strong> Hey DevilBird...I have a question for you. Do you ever hit the rev limiter while at the track? I've hit the limiter a few times with just a descreened MAF. I don't think that has anything to do with it actually. My tranny fluid was a bit low. I'm sure that was the culprit. </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Keep your tranny fluid full. Mine used to do it when my tranny fluid was a little low. Filled it back up and no more bouncing off the limiter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
