Default just got an ls6 intake, cleaning tips?

Ok well I just picked up an ls6 intake for a hell of a price. Only thing is that is alittle dirty and what not, so i cleaned up the outside real nice but I am not sure how dirty it is on the inside. What would be the best way to clean the inside of this intake?

i don't see why using water would be a problem AS LONG AS YOU LET IT SIT AND DRY! don't soak it, take it out and put it on, soak it overnight and let it dry for a few days until you're sure it's dry inside. you can speed up the process by taking a hairdryer and shooting the warm air inside the intake.

once it's nice and dry it'll be fine, just don't install til you're sure.

its essentially a big chunk of nylon plastic.

it wont react with any normal soaps, or solvents... and water doesnt harm it..

feel free to throw it in the bathtub, take a shower with it, or soak it in a bucket...

I believe those are to keep air from flowing in the gap between the manifold and valley cover. A guy I know had his FAST intake whistle a little because it didn't have that foam.
