car sounds awesome!!! But that ground clearance is just horrible. Are they tucked up as high as they will go. I'm at stock height but even when lowered next year I'll have more than that.

I'm honestly not sure how they can be tucked more. When they were installed, they were put almost against the torque arm at it's lowest point lol

Lots of sweet setups in this thread. Does anyone have any sound clips of a Powerstick chambered muffler? I have two of them just laying around and I'm debating taking off my nice sounding but quiet Magnaflow catback for a true dual system. Was going to use my current Pacesetter LT's, ORY, X pipe then put the powersticks with dumps at the axles. I would assume this will sound real loud. Is there any difference in the angle of the dumps? Straight down, to the outside, inside etc. The pic of the UMI setup with the TSP duals is amazing.

I have a question... Im doing my dual set up ,headers,3” tubing,X pipe and bullets.... whats best for doing it? Flanged joints (classic 3 bolts) or clamps (butt joint style) ??????

I'd say that a ball/socket combo is about the best. I haven't had great luck with vband clamps, and when it comes to u-clamping and band-clamping you'd better be prepared for leaks. Plus, if you use u-clamps then you actually crimp the pipes together. If you ever want to take them apart you'd better have a torch.

Traditional 3 bolt flanges require a gasket, which from my experience will leak. Ball/socket flange is a 3 bolt but doesn't require a gasket. I will be using ball/socket flanges in my build, which by the way hasn't even begun... but i do have all the parts, lol.

Another question/pic sharing. I had a shop do mine and they did good, 3" piping all the way through and no clearance issues at all, but i'm kinda not a fan of the direction they went with it. First they told me they couldnt use the x pipe because of clearance issues because there was nowhere to put it, and then they said they couldn't route them back to the center and it'd be better to just tuck them up in the little holes along the sides of the car. As far as I know, i'm the only f-body with this setup, and i'm wondering if anyone else thinks it looks bad and also if it might be hurting my power that they routed it weird and couldn't do the x pipe?





sorry, i dont have any under the car pictures, but it basically is 3" pipe welded to the collectors and then routed from there out to the sides and the into the muffler and dumped like a good foot and a half before the axle. setup is Pacesetter LT's, 3" steel tubing, and moroso spiral flow mufflers.

Because the TSP setup is like 400 bucks, the shop did a custom setup for 125 bucks.

From what I've researched on here you might be losing some low end power. There has to be a reason why vendors sell the xpipe. I would just bolt on that tsp kit and be done.

If I had the money for the TSP kit, i'd be all over it, but I work part time in a grocery store right now while i'm training for the military. I'm lucky if I have 100 bucks to my name at a time. If anything I will printout a pic of the way some of the guys on here have theirs set up and take it up there to them and tell them to do it that way, dumps hanging right in the middle before the axle and X pipe in the middle

yes you can PM me if you need more pics of certain angles or whatever. I have very good clearance and this was done with a buddy on our backs in my garage. so it can be done and still have great ground clearance.

appreciate the pics man, they do help. When I get them to redo it i'm gonna get them to do flanges on the collectors instead of welding the pipe straight to them so I can remove the exhaust if needed.

Dude that looks kinda bad, what makes you say they did good? Clearance looks pretty bad to me. I'm pretty sure my clearance is better and I didn't have a shop put my exhaust on. I just bought Spohn solid motor mounts, LPP headers and x-pipe, and bolted everything on.
