160 degree thermostats w/ housing @ $19.99ea
Well guys...I just got of the phone w/ Motorad Technical Dept. and verified that the 379-160 (internal part #), O'Reilly #37960 IS the 160 degree thermostat w/ housing for my truck @ $19.99ea!
From what I've read...the others that sell for $50 are made bu Motorad as well and sold as Hypertech, etc.
I think that this is a great find...I'm happy!
I am not sure if this is the same as most of you other guys' LS1's, but to check, just call XXX XXX-XXXX, tell them you have a tech question about a thermostat and give them your application and temp request. When you get a part #, make sure it is the 5 digit version and go online to O'Reilly website and search to see how much it is and its availability.
If you have O'Reilly or AutoZone look up your vehicle on their systems, the stock replacement unit is shown ONLY.
I assume that is why none of us have found this already...

did a little research this morning @ O'Reilly...pulled up the Murray stock replacement thermostat for a 2000 TA w/ 5.7L...then used Murray's alternate temperature cross reference guide to find 160 degree equivalent...same as mine...37960 @ $19.99...170 & 180 also available at the same price...
