Default Edelbrock Stainless F-Body Headers

Edelbrock has just released a stainless version of their stepped header. It's the same tube size as the steel headers and has a merge style collector. They have 3/8" port flange and welded collectors. Their kit is pretty complete as it includes O2 extensions and AIR and EGR provisions. The also have a stainless Y-pipe to match.
I can sell the header kit pn#65701 for $615.90 and the Y-pipe kit pn#65711 for $160.99. These are available for immediate delivery.
Those interested can call me monday thru friday at the number in my sig, or pm me anytime.

Happy modding

Richard

Are we going to get a catted Y pipe from them at all?

I asked Edlebrock ages ago for the coated headers and they said no. But it seems pretty odd to make an emissions header with EGR/AIR and then not offer Cats. Espcially with the AIR setup as it's totally pointless without cats.

A stainless Y could surely have cats welded into it for
cheap (labor). Maybe a better bet than expecting a
one-size-fits-all-without-banging Y-pipe from retail.

They're 3 1/2" inlet and 3" outlet dia. I believe they're a slip fit design to the Y-pipe and cat back.
I'm sorry I don't have any pics of the kit, but I'm pretty sure there are pics of the steel and coated sets on their web site. The stainless kit is identical to the earlier steel kits just made in all 304 stainless. I'll see if I can get a graphic image to post up.

Yes. These headers are identical to the coated style except they're made in stainless. And they're available............

So can anyone answer why their headers support AIR but they offer no compatiable catted Y pipe to make use of it?

These headers are a race design. They have a 1 3/4" primary pipe stepped to 1 7/8" and dump into a merge collector. I'm not speaking for Edelbrock here, but I have to believe the reason for not selling a catted Y-pipe would have to do with the legality of such a part. They leave it up to the user to choose to install the cats. Setting up a pair of headers to accept EGR and AIR systems is much more difficult than installing a pair of CATS. They include them on these headers as a convienience to those who want to retain these functions. They sell these header kits with block off plates for those who don't want these systems hooked up. I'm not sure if those taps cost hp or not but there are some states where long tubes are over looked as long as the AIR, EGR and CAT systems are installed and functioning.

Hope this helps.

Would have been nice if they came out with these way back when. Are the mc's welded onto the headers or are they slip fit? If you already said it, I must have missed it.
