Realistic H.P. Gain from exhaust and t.b.
I was wondering if anyone could give a rough estimate of how much h.p. I would gain from swapping out my stock catback for the SLP Dual / Dual and going with a S3 ported throttle body. I was hoping maybe 15? I am guessing I had at least that being choked up with SLP long tubes and ORY going through a stock catback. I made around 340 h.p. 370 t.q. with the orginal setup. Thanks guys.

i'd bet 10-15 hp. 15hp would probably be the higher end of realistic gains. catbacks are generally regarded as a ~10hp gain while the tb is a ~5hp gain, but don't expect that much for sure.

See whats funny for me is that there are memebers on this site who will argue that LS1's have 350 hp STOCK. Now this? "Calling Bullshit" on a guy who posted that he made a little over 350 hp with mods? Anyways, what I like to do SMG267, is use the advertised hp or % of hp and knock a little off accordingly.

If he is talking about fwhp then he is probably dead on. Most people attribute actual horsepower to what the wheels are putting to the ground.

that's why I said to knock off an amount accordingly. I'm just saying that no one knows how much he has, or how much "X" mods are going to give him. People around here can't agree on what a bone stock ls1 puts down. How many threads ave you seen with people arguing that very subject?
