as far as the lid goes, though it has proven to definitely add some ponies, i think im with Cop Car on this one. I cant say i actually "felt" a difference, though i know it did indeed give me some gain. id have to say the first step that actually gave me a jump i could feel was adding longtubes. ive had my share of ls1 cars, and these cars really respond to longtubes. now, doing 2 of the smaller mods together, like a lid and a catback (even on stock manifolds/y pipe) can definitely give u noticeable gain. anyway, im rambling and i need to get to work later yall

I can confirm this...installed mine last night....there is a real seat of the pants diffrence..not huge..but measurable..with the bypass....I think not..but hey all things and cars are not equal..there are alot of variables..time of day..air density and temp....it could happen

it takes a pretty good gain to notice any difference at all. And as everybody said, you sure as hell arent gonna notice the tb bypass, its debatable if you actually even do get a gain from it let alone fee the difference

Mainly the throttle response felt alil different. I am not saying it made the car gain 20hp or anything. It was also cold out like 40degrees out when I was done and took it for drive. I also could have been paying more attention to things and nothing could have changed at all. I could always put some stickers on it and gain like 10hp for each sticker.

You did not feel anything from a Tb bypass, its in your head. Just like how my car feel quicker after i wash, wax, and vacuum it out.

i have to agree that i dont believe that you picked up any butt dyno from the coolant bp. i'm just wondering how much cooler it would be inside that tb and if it would really make an improvment. i would do it if it would actually keep the air inside a couple degrees cooler in the summer time. but in the winter who knows if it will be bad though.

I was reading were they did some dyno runs and logged the temp. Did they bypass and logged the temp and there was a difference. You don't have the 160-80 degree coolant going through your TB. I might have the page saved on the comp at work but cant find it now. I'll check tonight when i go to work

Here is a link to the test data on the throttle body bypass. It includes a dyno of the gains and how they performed the test. http://www.bmrfabrication.com/tb-dyno.htm
