You mention that they sell "Emission style " headers on e-bay . I live in CA . I can figure out a catted Y , I think , without to much problem . It has the o2 bungs .
My car is a 2000 Z28 , so I believe it has air injection into the exhaust . Are these or the ones on e-bay emission legal for Cal ?

The one's on ebay are the emission one's but if you can't find them I can get them for you. They do have all the connections to make you car legal in Cal.

Default Emission legal Headers

I searched e-bay and they list that there are no parts available from the seller . Checked first part of the thread for sellers name .
Did I do this right ? SSautochrome ?
What are your prices for the smog legals .
Also I saw in this thread that some have used a catted Y but no one knew the brand that fits . Anyone have any input about that ?
Thanks guys and gals !

just got mine today. at the price, I thought I had just purchased the headers alone and was surprised to find the Y-pipe in the box. Turned out I got S/S headers AND Y-pipe for less than a set of coated pacesetter's would cost alone! May have been a mistake on their part, but I'm not complaining!

If the cats are moved from the factory location, then they are automatically illegal in California. Having the emissions bungs doesn't matter at that point.

I was browsing the Subaru forum and was looking for an Intercooler for my friend and came across a post regarding ssautochrome. Looks like they are not allowed to sell on ebay anymore.

actually, i think moving catalytic converters makes it illegal in EVERY state. correct me if i'm wrong, but there is no such thing as a legal longtube. even with states that don't have emissions testing, longtubes are still illegal. even catted Y-pipes are FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY. that's one of the funny things. aftermarket Y-pipes both WITH AND WITHOUT cats are BOTH OFFROAD Y-PIPES. look at the documentation that came with your headers. i know my QTP's came with an insert that said "FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY!"

all longtubes are illegal. period. california just enforces it harder than any other state. however, if you run cats, it makes it a lot harder to get caught. most people aren't going to notice if you moved the cats. there are so many cars out there - and they change every few years - who can keep track of the exact location of the cats?

They are no longer making emission headers only race versions and they are sold out of the emission one's they had in stock.

Headers ship out in a day or two after payment received.

A HUGE RECOMMENDATION TO ANYONE WHO IS CONSIDERING THESE HEADERS.... that quaility, price, fitment is just to good to pass up... (oh did i mention they're stainless ) :flamesuit:

...glad i got them back when they we're going for $350 shipped
any plans to offer a group purchase or limited time discount to bring the price down a bit. cause right now i'm trying to decide between these and the obx headers which are $100 less and come with all the same stuff (stainless steel and y pipe, etc). if you could offer them for $500 or even like $550 i'd prob go with these.

1 guy had bought those and had some issues with them. but also the "cats" really arent cat converters they are tiny bullet mufflers. so keep that in mind

Thinking about doing a group purchase on the package deal. If I can get at least 10 people that want them I will drop the price to $550 shipped.

They don't give me any break on the headers and y separate but I will take a cut on my end if there's enough interest and offer the Headers for $425 shipped and the Y for $225 shipped. But only for a short time.

Do you have anything for us truck/SUV owners?

I have been looking at the other brand of fair priced stainless headers,
but what you offer for the cars in this thread would propably go down very well with the guys in www.performancetrucks.net if you had something that fit.

If not, please look in to if you can do something for us as well.
