It's a TSP Lid and I used "Gunk Foam Engine Cleaner/Degreaser"
I soaked everything with it, and let it set for about 5 or 6 minutes then sprayed it off with a high pressure washer... seems the lid was the only part affected... so must be the aftermarket plastic they use... I'm thinking just by looking at it, the thin layer of clearcoat on the lid is what took the hit... if there is a layer of clear coat on it... it looks like there is so...

That sux! I use that same Engine cleaner and havn't had that problem. It must be the material they used back when they used to make lid's (TSP that is). My SLP lid hasn't done anything of that nature when using that same cleaner.
