Good to see you have it apart.
Now the big question is -- do you have any idea as to why the valves got bent ?
That has to be resoulved before it goes completely together.
I would also be sure the shop checks the intake valves as well while they have the heads.

Good luck .

Ryan

Taking the heads to the machine shop tomorrow.

Front cover is off, and the ****** timing was off by a **** hair

I just hope my pistons will be ok, no cracks, but maybe i can sand any sharp edges off where the valves hit.

I'm still 99% sure he's got a multi-keyway timing set and didn't align the right crank gear mark with the right cam gear mark.

i might crainholio, im having teddy come voer and actually degree that ****** in instead of dot-to-dot or w/e and have him put the timing on. He thinks whenever we were turning it over, it was such a small **** hair off it eventually just threw it all outta whack.

ok new phone, so that means I have pics once again. So here they are, as you cans ee they arent bad, and the more I felt of them the more i realised its not really anything at all. I took my heads to the machine shop and questioned him about the pistons and he said they will be just fine.

Those are definitely not the exhaust valves, they are the intake valves that hit the pistons. The larger valves are intake, smaller are exhaust. The larger ones are the ones that hit the pistons.

I'd vote for the multi keyway as mentioned before. I got rid of that piece of **** and got a single cloyes hexajust. There was only one non adjustable double roller that I had seen for rollmaster. Was the crank gear in two pieces? If it was, then it is most likely the adjustable one and thats how you bent the valves. One tooth isn't going to make it bend valves, having it on the wrong keyway will though. Good luck. I fucked up my crank threads and had your same feelings towards the car. Now its fixed and me and my car are cool again.

things are doing well now actually. We get to pick up my heads monday from the machine shop with all new valves and seats. Gramps agreed to let me and dad get some ARP head bolts so we can bypass the whole torque sequence and turning this and that 56* yak yak yak ****.

Dropping the oil pan tomorrow and Teddy is comming over to do a full cam degree and get this thing perfect, then I'll be ordering the bolts and gaskets monday.
