You don't need/want to use copper spray on graphite's.
Regardless with that block stay away from the MLS and use a graphite gasket.

got my stuff this morning. cam gear is off but wevve came back to a standstill due to some confusion on the keyways on the crank. We need verification of what keyway does what.

well the motor came with it so I didnt wanna spend money on an ls2 chain when I already had something else.
I didnt originally think it was adjustable, but then again I never really looked at the crank sprocket part.

Let's step back for a moment.
Use copper spray if you want. It's up to you. I'm not sure why your block wouldn't be true enough to just use graphite gaskets without copper spray. And, frankly, if it's that uneven, you've got bigger issues. It's totally up to you.
Find out if the sprocket is adjustable. Then we can go from there.

k, sorry for all the confusion, if yall remember I bought this motor as a longblock from speed inc so all previous mods i have no idea about, for exaple, the adjustable timing and milled heads...
However, the sprocket IS adjustable, I've jsut gotta figure out how the hell to get it off.

You can get it off with a 3-jaw puller. It shouldn't be hard.

but the base circle of the cam you pulled out was the same as stock.
but the push rods that came out on the car where what size?
mabye you should but a comp push rod length checker
