I believe it's just the cables, there should be an unused
prong on your TB pulley for the cruise. I just went and
bought new ones at the dealership. It'd be nice to know
if there is any difference in the cruise control mechanicals
between TCS and non-TCS, other than the cable itself.
Let us know what you see. Maybe take a few pics of the
non-TCS car for posterity. I want to see what happens
when I remove the "brain", too.

I have read the only thing you have to change is the cables and everything will work fine. I know the newer (01-02) ls1 were a little different so the cables will be different. Thats why all the FAST/NW 90MM tb have 2 hookups on the side for both years.

I just finished swapping mine. Throttle cable was simple,
cruise required me to pull the cruise control module to
change the cable out. This would have been more work
if the AIR pump wasn't already missing. It freed up the
throttle bind I was getting from the TCS pulley cluster
at WOT.
I messed a little with the TCS "brain", just pulling connectors
does not make the "ASR OFF" light go out. The TCS cluster
is still plugged into the engine bay harness. I have to study
the wiring diagrams to see what differs on the non-TCS
cars, to shut up the damn light. No point in having those
couple extra pounds of nose weight (pulley cluster and
"brain") now.
