Default RevXtreme Catch Can Setup

I went and got my RevXtreme catch can today [Click here for thread!]. Stopped in, talked to Tracy for a few, and he threw it on for me! It's a nice setup! Quick, neat, and easy install. I got it at the introductory price of $49.95, and I went ahead and got the breather for an extra $12. Killer deal for quality stuff. Thanks to Tracy, and the other guys at RevX!

Here's the pictures!

You don't need the breather if your not making big power & running in the higher RPM range. Just put the catch can inline between the PCV valve by cutting the plastic line & using the hose provided to attach to the line left on the PCV side, then use the OEM hose that came from your TB to connect the inlet (center) fitting to the rest of the plastic line you cut already. Again, the filter is not needed if your not FI or running the motor hard. There is also a few vendors out there selling some awesome billet oil fill caps w/the filer built into it that are functional & look cool as heck.

The can has a perferated tube running down the center of it to evenly disperse the vapors drawn through to contact as much surface area as possible for the most complete codensation possible. The purpose is to codense the oil/moisture/fuel/etc. vapors to seperate them from the air going into your intake. Less oil contaminating the intake charge....less chance of detonation.

Is that where the valve is supposed to go? I was thinking it would go on the other side of the can.

The PCV valve (for LS1 applications) should be in between the can outlet & the vacum source nipple on the intake manifold. With the LS6 valley cover (and LS2-3-7) it goes inline between the valley cover nipple & the intake vac nipple.

so for the ls6 you run a line from the valley cover to the top of catch can and then the line w/ pcv to the intake right???

Yes sir! Every thing else you would leave as stock unless doing the complete system mod.

im not sure of the specifics, but oil gets into the throttle body and therefore you burn oil out the back

my car's pcv does this, so thats why im going with one

Ok...I am running a LS2 with a gm style intake and elbow w/90mm fast. My set-up is like this. Drivers side rear valve cover hose going to the back of the elbow, passenger side front hose going directly to the 90mm T/B nipple. dont see a PVC valve in there anywhere, also my oil fill cap does have a filter on it. Now would this benifit me and my set-up, oh I bought it this way, should'nt there be a PVC in there somewhere? and if I was to install this can would I go between the front hose or rear, and if it is in the front, does'nt the rear hose going into the elbow defeat the purpose of this for eliminating the oil comsumption?
I did just notice that there is a nipple on the plate under the intake, right front corner that is capped off. What exactly is going on here?
