I bought bare steel ones. So do you feel like the extra money for the armor coat was well spent?

That's not true... all of them do that.. it's just condensation... if you'd like, reweld everything and recoat them and see if it makes a difference.. I'm going to say no..

As said above, if you have a "leak" / hole in the header its going to leak out condenstaion and look like that. Normally it gets spit out the exhaust.

yea i know, but i think he was saying there may not be a leak, just condesation at the collector there. i dont think this is true, as i can feel and hear a leak there. the other header isnt doing this. i was curious if anyone else had this problem and if they ended up getting a replacement.

Correct. Wow that sucks. I've had mine for almost 2 years and haven't had a problem. Did you notice that exhaust leak sound right after installation?

yea i did. could hear it right at the collector, so i checked the clamp for the y-pipe right at the collector, but couldnt feel anything there, and for the hell of it checked all the other band clamps, all were fine. so i figured id just drive it for a few days, and go under see where the stains are. this is what i found.

Looks like it's leaking to me, which is not good especially if your running in closed loop. I haven't had this problem with mine.

This problem just happened to me recently to my driver side longtube header and its a stainless steel, imagine that. My solution, I bought a exhaust leak sealer from Auto Zone made specifically for this kind of situation. I applied it inside where the runners, and collectors meet. I let it dry for four hours and btw the weld will actually dry quicker if expose to heat. I pressure test it w/ water and no leaks. Saved me headache, time and shipment cost dealing w/ the company that made my header.
