Default Loud ticking from head area

The other day my car started ticking pretty loud. You can hear the tick at idle but once I step on the car the tick get louder with the RPM's. The ticking is only coming from the drivers side of the motor. I took a few vids, one with the cut-out open and one with the cut-out closed.

Cut-out open

Cut0out closed

I recently changed the water pump a week ago and it ran fine but just recently the ticking started. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Does it have a cam or aftermarket dual valve springs in it? If so, check the exhaust rockers on that side. #7 in particular.

Yup, it's the lifter, just had to change one of mine, pull the head, inspect all the lifters on that side, you should be able to easily spot which one is bad. A lifter from the dealer is around $60, you'll also need head gasket $25, and new head bolts $25. Do NOT use the old head bolts.

It doesn't sound catastrophic, but it sure can't be good w/ it making that much noise. You'll know if it collapses though, that sounds almost unbearable. I guess it would make the trip, just make sure you're not the least bit low on oil, and I hope your insurance company offers free tows! Just in case.
