Looks like the tiny spring that goes around a valve seal.

Well for a piece of metal big enough to stick to your oil drain magnet that's probably the easiest to fix. Could be worse.

Looks like some kind of seal spring and not to be a dick, but could you have come up with a better title to this thread? Ya it sucks but at least the magnet caught it. I don't think "F my life" has anything to do with a piece of metal you found on your drain plug.

Wow man that is terrible, sounds like the pos 87 S-10 blazer I rebuilt a 2.8 v6 in (worst motor ever). Oh ya thats definitely a valve seal spring, could be much worse, its a pretty cheap fix too.

That looks a bit long for a valve seal tension spring.

I have the same issue with mine. It keeps popping the seals off and beating them to hell. I took it to two different shops before I got it apart and they both said it was normal roller rocker noise. I guess I'll be taking my **** to them for work...The link below has some pics if you want to see the carnage.

You can use FelPro p/n SS70945. You can use the normal seals on the int and the Viton on the exh. The people I got my springs from told me that the kit comes with Comp Cams seals p/n 511-16. They are all Viton the Fel Pro are 8 Viton and 8 regular.
