Default Pred Z cam LQ9 - Videos

Alright, just got the car back from the shop with a very good Street tune by Nic D.

Here is a quick little idle clip

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93fDNN1o-PQ

(Watch in HQ if at all possible).

Not the best video to show off right now, but that's a warmed up start up I will definitely have a few more vids once I get the full dyno tune tomorrow.

Big thanks to Predator Z for the AWESOME cam, Nic D for this tune/upcoming tune, and Sean at Topgear motorsports for doing an amazing job putting this thing together!

Car mods are basically boltons, 3600 stall, and this 230/228 110-1 LSA (Edit: DOH dyslexia) cam all stuffed into an LQ9.

EDIT: Dyno numbers further down the page

Sounds good, let us know of the results, the trq curve should be nice and flat, let us see what it puts out. Dynojet?
BTW, I'm thinking of repainting my Z the same color, with pearl white stripes or flames (still debating)

Yep dynojet, will be at AZ dyno chip here in Tempe. That would be a sweet setup with the pearl stripes by the way

those are some great numbers through a stalled auto. Now get to the track and see if you get it into the 11's.

look at that TQ from damn near 3k all the way to 5k... thats everything you would want in a street car!! even with that great power and torque reverse splits still stuck and we shouldnt run them..LOL. congrats man.. and once again good job predator Z.

Yeap, that is the characteristic of those specs, not to make massive peak Hp but to have one high and flat trq curve for a long period. Also contrary to some poeple's believe, it does not run out of breath quickly after peak.
Not bad for a retarded cam

I love that trq curve

A nice set of heads like Cartek 4x would get another 40>50 rwhp and about 30>35 trq
With that trq and a good hook, mid>low 11s are achievable.

Custom Ram air (up front) and 85 mm MAF would take it over 400, it is crying for a bit more air.

Compared to the 346, it's a night and day difference to me, but I think that's the amount of torque/choppy idle that I'm not used to yet lol. It had no problem spinning my 285 nittos on a 40 punch, so that's pretty awesome
