Those that had a cutom grind done come on in...
So its time for a new set up and I really think from searching around going the custom grind way is the best thing to do. I want a more low to mid with some good top end but not like what I have now which is mid to good top end with the MS3. So who all did you use and how did you like there service. I don't want to start a war on who is better or what ever...just trying to see what you peeps have to say about your experience. Thanks.

Well as I mentioned in your other thread, I've been chatting with Geoff @ EPS... Basically wanting the same as you, more bottom and mid-range power... He spec'd a 226/234 on a 113... Don't remember the lift #'s, but pretty sure they're around the .600 area.. The thing I really like about the eps lobes, is that they are making really good #'s but, are more valvetrain friendly and can be ran with a behive spring.

ae13291- he may have wanted to know what ICL you wanted.. 112lsa +4 degrees advance= 108 ICL.
99WS7- They are a fairly new lobe designed for EPS.. Im pretty sure Goeff and Patrick G. have been using them with really great results... My take is that they are a good power making lobe that is very stable at higher rpms and less wearing on valve springs.

ae13291....let us know how that cam works for you
mm98, thanks for the info bro
chrs1313, that looks like a nice cam...only thing Id a little concerned with is the split light design as I dont know if Im gonna continue to spray every now and then. I always though it was better to have more lift on your exhaust then intake with n20.

Your best bet is to have Pat G spec you out one. I had him do mine a few months ago and i'll never pick a cam on my own again. He got exactly what I wanted out of the car, and Geoff at EPS got my cam to me really quick too.

Since you have an idea in mind then all you need is some one to spec out your cam. I had Lloyd Elliot spec out my cam and heads. Great job, the moron that put it together while I was deployed used the wrong lifters so I had to go in and replace the lifters after that it ran great 232/238/ 600/600 109 lsa. Lloyd is very old school and a straight shooter.

Pat G spec'd ordered from Geoff @ EPS.
227/235 .617/.621 112+2 spec'd.
Came out to be...
227/236 .616/.623 112+2 on LSL lobes, ground and shipped to Geoff for final inspection (which is cool, so then you actually know your cam specs and not an estimate), then shipped to me. Couldn't be happier.

thanks for the post guys...got some good info. Only thing is I really need to start researching the different lobes and what not...not to clear on whats the diff from say LSL lobes are to EPS lobes?

i had my cam spec'd and my engine makes 490rw with unported heads

FWIW though on that shot you would never know the difference......bigger shot exhaust bias is needed....

Another vote for PatrickG and Geoff at EPS. Pat spec'd me a 239°/247° .623"/.623" 110° +2° (108° ICL) and Geoff ordered it. When it came in Geoff stuck on the Cam Dr. (Or whatever measuring system he uses) and verified specs for like $15.00.
Great service from these guys.
