when a valve spring isn't pushed close enough to coil bind it creates harmonics. drastically shorting the life of the spring. This could be a result of such a thing. A spring that is run .060 to coil bind will far out live a spring that is run a .160 from coil bind,

My car has a Lunati Grind 231/237 .595/.598 on a 112lsa and I've ran these valvesprings for 12k miles without issue. I'll be replacing them soon, but only b/c I'm installing ported heads.

I ran my prcs.... cam only with a 227/231 614 617 112+2, then i got an sts kit and ran the same cam and springs, now im running them on my setup in my sig!

about 8000 miles total but i lose 100hp after 5500-6400... and cant find out why and am thinking maybee it the springs are wore out and giving valvefloat maybee.

If the springs are about the mileage mine are im deffinetally gonna change mine!

It may be that you springs have fallen off or you may be flexing your push rods, you may want to go to a larger diameter push rod if that isn't an option use a haver wall push rod.

I will make a detailed post later on. I am replying from my cell phone. They are patriot golds. They did have some good miles on them. It all started a few months ago When the car wouldn't pull passed 6500 it was like the tranny I had was hurt. Upon more test it ruled the trans out. I'll make A more detailed post later on tonight when I get to a computer

Well looks like you ran them on a LSL lobed cam. I will almost guarantee your valve springs are wrecked at 8000 miles. The PRC springs are known to sag over time and with that much mileage on a set of lobes known to wipe out a few valvetrains I imagine it to be the culprit.

I DD my PRC platinums for 3 years now, 1 racing season and 3 cams; all over .600 lift and they are still within specs.

The issue poeple tend to miss is *Were the springs installed at correct height for cam used?*
