yes b/c the bottom is completely flat it is an ls6. ls1's have a hump on the bottom.

Yes it is. The flat bottom and no egr hole is the ls6.

also ive been reading about if your doing a head/cam swap you should upgrade your stock injectors my car is a 99 with the 28# injectors will it be better to upgrade to these or stay with my stockers

Do the LS1 Intakes without EGR have the Hump still?

bottoms always tell. As corvette and SLP versions float around breaking the standardized rules, the bottom is the sure fire way to tell them apart.

LS1 intakes without EGR are LS6 intakes, so no they do not have the hump.


Edit: I dont know about vettes and EGR so there could be some bastard intake in there from the early vettes, but F-body intakes that dont have EGR are LS6 intakes, and do not have the hump. Earlier I was only thinking in F-body terms, I dont know about the non EGR LS1 intakes.

No C5 vette ever had EGR. So the best way to tell is to look at the bottom or run the part number.

So does a Non EGR LS1 intake exist? Would the early C5's be the same intake as a LS1 with the hump on bottom but no EGR provision?

Like the rest of the guys said the best way to tell if it's a ls6 intake is the flat bottom... some c5 corvettes did come up with a ls1 no EGR intake...

All C5s from 97-04 didn't have EGR.
