The Cheater V3 is basically the same as my custom grind that I speced before it came out XFI 218/230 .605/.604 116+2. It made 426/386 with PRC stage2.5 heads, ls6 intake, thru cats and stock z06 exhaust. Car has been a best of 11.0@124 and sounds/drives like stock, no BS...everyone looks for the bottle lol

Well he laughed at me when i asked him to race. He told me what he had done and i was just looking to have fun, i didn't really care if i won or lost. So we line up and right out of the hole i jumped 2 car lengths out on him. I beat by 5 or 6 cars. He wanted to try it again cause he said he missed a shift. I said sure. Well i beat him by 3 cars the second race. So he was highly upset..lol. We pulled over and he was repeating over and over that i had a bottle in the car...lol. That was 2 years before i installed my TNT kit..lol. So i figured if i was going to keep getting acused of having nitrous i finally installed a 125hp wet kit. And on my very first pass hot off the street it ran a 10.93 @ 127 mph. As happy as i was i used a TPS NX switch. Well it was delaying my nitrous from coming on. So for the first 330' i was running NA...then the nitrous kicked in. So imagine if i launched with the kit spraying. By the mph i was running i think my car could have ran 10.7's or maybe high 10.6's. Thats racing!!! lol. Anyway i planned on just going with a high lift 218/224 cam when i ever mod my car, but seeing the gains the V3 Cheatr is giving i might rethink
my choice. And since i'll most likely run cats with the long tube headers the extra exhaust duration should be an asset.

well, the reason i run the bottle ,i go to the track 2 times a year.in the fall and in the spring when it's cool out. i'm 49 years old and haven't ran nitrous in any car or truck i've had on the track before, until i bought my camaro.i don't street race anymore so i don't need 426 h.p. on the street.everyone sets there car up differently for their needs.i dynoed 325 r.w.h.p. with the cheatr v3 package and went 12.35 on motor, which is pretty good i think for a car with exhaust manifolds and stock exhaust.(NO HEADER'S)i thought i would never ever fool with nitrous, but it's a cool power adder if you respect it, and run all the safety features.just like a supercharger or turbo. i fill the bottle once a year,so it don't cost me alot.

Very good N/A with pretty much just the cam. Im hoping for 380 to 400 RWHP RWTQ once i get the cam in. My last mods to do will be the heads but i dont see me doing those for quite some time. My wife is going to kill me for all the money i spent on the cam and tools to do it. I figured a couple hundred bucks extra for me to do it, or $600 more dollars for a shop to do it.

Thats some nice times for cam only. I think Comp knew that a 218 cam was just the
right mix of hp and tq. The old 218/224 .527/.535 114 lsa cam will put an LS1 in the high
11's. It's an old design but i know with a good set of heads with full bolt ons that old cam
makes for a killer setup. I know i'm going with a cam somewhere close to 218 degrees.

K guys got my valve springs installed tonight. I used the Patriot Extreme springs. The cam will be here Tuesday and going in next Sat. I have a weird ticking coming from my engine afterward now though. Theres no check engine light on or anything so i really dont think its from me doing the swap. I thinkm its probably the sewing machine noise everyone talks about.

LS12FAST4U,
I bought this cam for my '05 CTS-V when I was out in Iraq. I'm still catching up on the work around the house but am anxious to get this installed in my car. I'm going to go with a Powerbond U/D before I get it installed and tuned by CMS. Let us know your dyno gains and I'll pass along mine.
I needed the "old man" cam also as I have to pass CA emissions. Damn them! Got it from Shane at TR as well. Good luck to you!

Predator speced out a nice sleeper cam for me a while back. (218/224 114+4) I wanted to shift around 6500 RPMs. I ended up going a different route and chose my 224/228 112. I am competely happy with my setup and would not change it for a bigger cam. I love the bottom end with my stock gears and have plenty of top end. I consider my cam a small to mid size cam.
