Default rod bolts...

So I have a 1998 camaro z28 with a reverse split cam and supporting mods with 100k miles. Getting a Lil bored so want to make more power with different heads cam and a 100 shot. Scared that my rod bolts will let go. I'm looking at the katech and arp rod bolts. Which are the ones to get and how hard to install

I went with katech bolts, their bolts are made by the company that makes GM's stock bolts but of course out of better material. Same weight and size, just a lot stronger. Have to loosen the k-member bolts and take the steering shaft loose and you can get the oil pan out. Just follow the directions and use the supplied lube or a really good moly lube. I used stuff my buddy got from Kurt Urban's shop, so you know it was good. Hope that helps

From what I've read 100k miles in these cars isn't hit if the car has been taken care of, of course. Mine has 105k on it. And I'm bout to do H/C/I/tb trough out the year which u already kno lol. and 100shot is pretty standard. Just tune for it.

The Dow Molykote 1000 (sold separately for $2) is for titanium (LS7) rods only. Steel rods require the CMD Extreme Pressure lube #3 which is included in the kit.

A1 Technologies makes the rod bolts for GM? Are you sure about that?
