Default Advanced Induction 226cc CNC work

Got my hands on these, so I thought I would post some pics for those that are interested. Heads had previously had a clean-up mill of about .010 done. Heads have been cut .030 more by A.I. bringing compression on a stock short block to 11 to 1. All flanges were milled smooth also.

Looks like they reworked that bulge where the spark plug inserts. Doesn't that increase chamber size/decrease compression?

Almost the same setup I am looking to do only with a Streetsweeper HT. Would like to see how your car performs when all is said and done.

Look closely, the entire chamber is CNC'd, and yes this decreases compression from the removed material.

Very nice man. I'm going to be running those same heads at some point down the road. Solid cam choice as well. Looking forward to seeing your results. G/L

Did you happen to get any flow numbers with those?

Flow numbers are posted on their website I believe. A CNC doesn't have a good or bad day, it produces the same results day in and day out, so those "old" flow numbers would still be valid.

226cc is their 243/799 casting program. These are 799s.

Did you elect to go with any of the "ugrades" AI offers, or did you simply pay for the CNC work, plus the shipping?

My valve guides weren't worn out but if they were then I woulda let them replace them, and yes I had them throw me a set of the Lunati's on the heads before they left.

I wonder why is it that TSP doesn't port their 799 chambers like this on their LS6 stg 1 and 2.5 heads?? Their chambers are like this:

How much power are you looking for with this setup? And what intake are you running?

You'd have to ask them. I'm pretty sure they have budget offerings as does A.I. The 226 that is done above is pretty much A.I.'s all out port job for 243/799 castings. All of their work utilizes stock valves as an FYI.

Power? I dunno, likely won't even take it to the dyno. It will go to the track, a bunch, and I have tons of slips before the head swap so we are gonna see the performance gains. My car is very predictable and consistent so it shouldn't be hard to see the gains in MPH and ET.

I'm gonna stick with the LS6/stock MAF/SLP lid at this point. After I get some solid baselines I think I will do a FAST and an 85mm MAF and upsize lid and see where that takes me.

I was told that the slight roughness actually makes it flow better than a smooth mirror finish

On the intake port some texture helps mix fuel and air, but most will fully polish the combustion chamber from what I've seen. One perk of doing this is very little carbon build up in the head chamber.
