Default Piston To Valve Trouble LS1 to LQ9

I'm at a loss on what's going with my build. I swapped all my parts from my
ls1 to my lq9. Same 59cc TFS heads, timing set, YT rockers and cam. I flycut .085 on intake and .100 on exhaust using Lindy cutters in same head. Cam is degreed same as old motor. Cam specs are a custom grind:
.243/.246 .624/.615 110lsa +2 advance. I'm checking it with checker springs and .040 head gaskets. When piston is top dead center, The intake valve can't move any more. I can't rotate the engine without it stopping. I just don't get it. I had slightly less flycuts in my ls1 than these.

Are you saying the engine stops and you can't rotate it by hand? Are you using the correct length pushrods?

Yes, I cant rotate it 360 degrees without it stopping at tdc, I'm using the same 7.500 pushrods.

I'd double check cam timing one more time.

Also keep in mind, the iron blocks have .010 shorter deck than aluminum blocks. But if you cut deeper than the ls1, I don't that causing a problem.

Are you for sure you didn't have the cam retarded any in the ls1?

And are you sure the valves are hitting and not something else?

Shouldn't you have shorter pushrods because of the milled heads and shorter deck height?

Sounds like its binding, on mine it required stock length pushrods, .30 milled heads and smaller circle cam.

I'm thinking more like a 7.350 sounds more like what you need...always best to check geometry of valve train and pushrod length

The TFS heads require the longer pushrods. I would say it has got to be the way the cam/timing gear is installed.
