Tune would gain maybe 10rwhp MAYBE 20rwhp if it was off.

Timing is a little high and it's a bit leaner than we run them, but I don't think it's the issue.

If the cam is found to be ground wrong I'll issue a full refund and/or have a new cam ground by comp or the company of the Crooks choice.

That said, before I'd do all of that....run it at the track.

Martin, would it be possible to get an SNS stg 2 sized and themed cam for small bore ls3s on an ls1? Or would one of the LS3 grinds work good enough?

Putting off compression test for now. I just heard from speedinc something with their dyno brake was dragging and is getting fixed. Car will go back next week to see if anything changes.

Mark off a 1/4 mile on a highway and give it a few runs and see what your trap speed is. That would be the quickest way to find out if something is wrong.

I am working on TorqueMAX camshafts for LS3 heads right now. Still in testing phases. Not going to release until I have solid data to go off of.

I can grind you a custom cam for now though. Shoot me an email and we'll discuss it more if you'd like.

Well that explains it. Should be a solid 370-380rwhp if you get a chance to toss it back on the rollers with the same tune.

Absolutely. It will probably be in the next month or two. I want to get an idea of price and specs so I can piece together the proper setup this winter and everything I have seen from you has been fantastic from customer service to results so I'm sold.

I'm pretty sure I have the valve events I want nailed for the LS3 Torque Max line, but I am working on the new "TowMAX" cams for trucks as my next project to market.

Should have them ready before the end of the month and LS3 cams by the end of the year. Been trying new things with LS3 heads in the last 4-6 months with great results.

I think I can be right there with b0b, if not higher. Our mods are pretty much the same, minus my stock 10 bolt.
You haven't broke that 10 bolt yet? haha I'm on my second set of axles, waiting to pick up a bad *** roller with a lot of goodies on it. (I.E 9", Meth, Suspension goodies, Set of 15" Pro Stars..etc)

I broke it with a set of MT ET Streets. I think it broke on the 2nd gear hit for the burnout, and then the 5000rpm clutch drop finished it off. LOL No mercy for the 10 bolt.

No, haven't broke it yet. I just put on my drag setup with Mickey Thompson ET Streets not too long ago, but haven't had the car out much. When I did, I was pretty careful because those tires hook like no other. They only break loose for a split second going from 1st to 2nd.

I want to see pics of this roller. That was a great idea on your part. Probably got it way cheaper than it would cost to replicate everything.

Anyone running the SNS Stage 1 LS1 (222/226 111+2) cam? My buddy is looking to put something tame in his truck with the stock stall and I remembered that someone on here mentioned this cam will work well for a heavy application with the stock stall.

How's the idle and under the curve characteristics of that cam in a 6.0?

I wouldn't run it with the stock stall, go with at least a 2800 stall TC, and with a heavy truck I'd advance it another 2-3*.

Martin, after reading through this thread I have to ask, what cam of yours would you suggest for a somewhat (799 heads) cam only max effort setup? Also what size stall converter to go along with it for best 1/4 ET? My mods are in my sig. Thanks

poltergeist: just email martin and have him spec you a custom. He came up with a custom for my oddball setup that I can't wait to try out.
oddball = ls1, etp 215 heads, edelbrock pro flo xt intake and ~11.8:1 compression

That sounds like an interesting build. Awesome heads for sure. Looking forward to seeing how this setup performs. You got a build thread yet?

I would recommend our SNS Stage 3 camshaft and a 5000rpm stall converter.

Decided to throw mine on the dyno today since it was a dyno day and got some numbers. Put down 366/345, that's up 34 hp from before the cam. The most interesting thing is we found out the wideband my car was tuned with is bad, my a/f was 10.8-11.1 the entire run and we had it set to what we thought was 12.75 so there's a good chunk of power left once the new wideband comes in.

My setup is a 01 Camaro with full exhaust, sns stage 2 mild, and K&N hot air intake.
