Is it such a cam you got cut that's a stealth cam for a LS7? Kinda retains factory sounding cam......

If you have a competent tuner that will actually take his time to do it right, there will be no issues tuning it. It is a larger cam and yes under 1300-1400rpm it will surge some.

I could most certainly grind you a cam that sounds stock, but packs a lot more punch than the factory grind. Easy as cake.

Sounds great, I hope to hear from you soon for the tune appointment!

Heads up, we're scheduled into November right now and normally are scheduled like this until middle to end of November when things finally slow down for us.

Thanks for the heads up Martin, I'll take my time and shoot for early December for a tune. Suppose I should call and get on the list.

I've got the time and I'm working on the competent part . This is my first time tuning anything and I'm actually liking it. And I'm starting to see what you, and others are saying. Getting a decent sized cam to idle and run good at wot is the easy part. Everything in between to make it more "tolerable" and smooth running is where the real work begins. I have it idling decent at 1000rpm when it's warm, but it won't get there without pumping the throttle at lower Temps. I just need to get the TB adjusted and hopefully that gets my iac in check. It sounds fantastic though, even at that high of an idle!

Yes it sounds like you need more running airflow at colder coolant temps. Don't be afraid to open the IAC more at lower CLT.

Here is the SNS Torque Max Stage II. One bad *** cam right here. Sounds mean as hell, has awesome power throughout the RPM band, keeps making steam past 6700 RPM, and a great driver cam when tuned right. What more could you want.

That trq max sounds nice, how about a driving video? Idle sure is mean, but out on the road/ loaded wot probably sounds amazing!

Yeah, with the dual exhaust setup, it's downright sinister at WOT. It's so damn loud that it's kind of un-nerving shifting at 6700 rpm's because I think something is going to blowup. I will get a WOT video this weekend.

Just wrapping up the tune on my SNS stage 3 so I thought I'd post a vid. It still has a little surge down low, but its pretty easy to drive around. Im pretty happy with it so far! Its a sbe, cam only with all the supporting bolt ons. Hopefully the local 1/8 mile track is open tomorrow. I ran a 7.64 at 87 mph before the cam a few weeks a go, so it should be a pretty good comparison.

ported factory tb, ls6 intake, ftra, LS1 motorsports lid, asp underdrive pulley, qtp 1 3/4 lts, TSP tds, Yank 4000ss, MWC fab 9 4.30 gears, fast 36lb injectors, TNT wet kit, SNS stage 3 cam with BTR platinum springs

It spins a little from 30 in second gear, but you cant really tell. It started sliding a little too much from the rolling start, so I had to let out of it a little. Watch the volume, its pretty quiet at first, but damn near blows your speakers at wot. I think I scared my dog half to death just playing the vid .

I was wrong, it was a 7.655 for my old stock internals best. The DA on both slips was taken in early afternoon, a few hours before I actually made the pass. But it should make a pretty good comparison. The old one was just about a month a go. My best run of the night was 7.37 at 91mph, almost 3/10ths and 4mph. Im pretty happy with that much of an improvement in the 1/8 mile . I got tons of compliments on it, this cam definitely turns heads and runs the #'s to back it up. There still may be a little left in the tune too. I have a vid of it running a 7.45 @ 90mph since it was pretty dark for my "hero pass".

What is the release date on these? I'm purchasing a cam in the next few weeks and had my sights set on the sns stg2. But I would like to see what these are before purchasing a cam.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Truck cams, drop in cams, 4.8 and 5.3 turbo cams, possibly a single plane grind or two.

I've been compiling data for a while now and feel that these cams are as good as they're going to get.

Cool, the turbo geeks will be happy lol. I bought an old holeset turbo and was going to go that rout but I really think I just want a h/c 6.0. It will make enough to do what I want... And thats leave black marks everywhere.
