Ahh, I see now!

I think it would be best if you gave me a call here at the shop or emailed me. We can hash things out better and quicker that way.

Great example of our SNS Stage 3 (235/243 .621/.624 111+2) camshaft in a bolt on F-body with a LS6 intake.

Just finished this one up here at the shop!

Killer average power, especially how broad the HP curve is approaching and after peak where it attains 400rwhp for over 1500rpm.

Nice curve there Martin! I'm guessing 1 7/8" LTs, no cats, tune, cold air? No internal mods, other than cam/springs/pushrods?

The SNS Stage 3 is a great cam, so far I've been a best of 11.03 @ 122 in a damn near full weight F-body with stock 3.23 gears. It has more potential but I need to address a few things over the winter. Dyno sheet attached. Thanks again Martin!

Customer says he did a very light smoothing of the intake and exhaust ports, but yes that is it.

Our dyno is a little stingy compared to what most of you guys tend to report back with regarding your numbers versus what we get here on ours.

Put some 3.90 or 4.10 gears in that thing and run some 10's!

Even without the gears I feel you've got a 10 second ride the way it sits. The gears will definitely help a lot in that regards, but with some tuning and good air you may be able to eek a 10 second pass out of your ride.

Glad to see all these SNS Stage 3 cars doing so well!

I'm hoping to get a rear over the winter with 3.90 gears. I'm not sure how many 1.5 60ft's the stock rear can handle... so far it's seen about 8 1.5 60's and 30 1.7 60's on the old setup. I'm excited to see what it does with correct gearing for this setup!

How does it idle and what kind of street manners does it have? I was thinking of moving up to the sns stg3

The key to good street manners with a SNS stage 3 (or for any larger cam for that matter) is going to be mostly in the tune. I would suggest stepping your converter up to at least a 4000 stall if you were going to make the change though, not that you couldn't get away with a 3600, but you would be leaving some performance on the table if you didn't. With that being said, my car drives great on the street, but with a 4500 stall and 3.23 gears it's a little obnoxious coming off a stop light.

Martin, what do you recommend for my build? Street car, occasional 1/8th mile. Details in dig. I want a nasty idle with decent drivability. It'll be tuned by ShorTuning or bluecat.

Thanks man! I'm thinking of a circle D 4000 and switching the cam.. Love the way my car performs now but, looking for more power..

I have an AWESOME 247/251 112+2 with several different lobe combinations to suit individual needs and RPM ranges or for different valve train component selections.

This is what I would recommend for your application and a nasty idle to boot.

My heads are TEA/TFS 235's with hollow 2.08's, PM guides, .660 lift PAC's with TI retainers and stock rockers with upgraded trunions. I'm leaning towards TFS 3/8" pushrods and caddy race lifters.
102mm TB. No intake yet...waiting to see results on the MSD and the FAST 102 v2. My car is full weight plus some.
My goal is at least 600/500 to the wheels but not at the expense of a good power and torque curve. I dont want just a dyno number, it must be a blast to drive. 6800 rpm max.

You will not see 600 at the tires with a 416 c.i. engine that makes peak power under 6800rpm.

You will either need a larger engine, or more RPM.

The 445" I just posted yesterday in the dyno forum is a great example of what is required to make 600 to the tires N/A within your RPM constraints.

how many rpm to meet my goal? Would I still have a decent torque curve?

You will need a peak hp rpm of no lower than 7200-7300 and a shift rpm of 7600-7800 rpm.

You **might** make 530-550/490-520 with what you have now.

You'll need at least 450" to make 600rwhp under 6800 rpm with less than 11.8:1-12:1 compression with those heads and intake.

Whatever RPM I can safely spin to with my valve train and still have a decent torque and power curve is what I'm going with. I've got 2.08 Hollows, PAC .660's, Ti retainers, PM Guides, 3/8" TFS pushrods, caddy race lifters, upgraded trunions. What am I realistically looking at?

Chris Frank made 600 wheel with I believe a 416 and Frankenstein ported tfs 235's, a ported fast, and under 7000 rpm peak power. The thread is over on yellowbullet, search Frankenstein Racing Tfs. Far from a normal set up I know, but it is definitely possible

As much as I love Chris' work, I have extreme doubts about that deal...

I want to know what it traps in the 1/4 at what weight and I would really want to see it spin the drums on an inertia style roller like a Dyno Jet. You can easily manipulate a MD to read whatever you want it to read.

Martin, I tried to email you about a custom cam but unsure if I sent it right. Do you have a email I can contact you direct? I think I sent one to ticksupport email but haven't received anything yet

Thanks
josh
