My custom spec'd Tick cam in sitting safe and sound inside the engine now. No lifters went clanking into the oil pan! Waiting on a few ancillary parts to arrive for me to finish up a LSXrT intake install, then it's go time.

Thanks, that's good to know. Probably be much easier to do just dropping the k-member and having all that room.

I didn't do that but if I had to do it again I would. There is a locking collar that goes on the shaft of the Lindy fly cut tool. What I did was made a .070" U shaped shim that I could slide under the collar to set max depth of the cut.

We drop the K-member on any head/cam install we do on a F-body. Makes it much easier to work on.

Martin, do you think there would be any benefit switching intakes from my current 92mm setup to a 102 or even an MSD intake? I'm also considering having my car retuned in SD.

Not really. I think the Fast 92 is a very overlooked item as it has always laid down great numbers for us.

Not really a fan of the 102.

Got my SNS 3 on the dyno today. Made 403/390 before tuning for nitrous. Made 391/387 with 6 degrees pulled out. On a NX proton 150 shot, made 540/628 I am a very happy camper. Thanks Martin.

SNS 3 with .660 springs
stock 241 heads
36 lb injectors
ported MAF ends and TB/LS6 intake
no UD pulley

Pretty nice numbers for essentially a cam only car. I'm waiting for my new rearend to come in so I can get mine tuned and see what Martin's custom grind did for me. It's essentially a SNS 3 but has more lift.

Anyone got some average hp/tq numbers for a car with my mods (in sig) + a TP Polluter cam, Ported & polished 243 heads & 150 shot as well

Well, I guess I'll just stick with what I have. I'm in the middle of looking for a used rear for my car right now and I plan on taking it back to the tuner as well to have the shift points moved up to 7000. I'll keep you posted with future results!

Thanks, i am very happy with it. Martin does great work. Here is the graph, this run it made 405, but the tuner backed the timing up 1 degree because it made power a little earlier with less peak. On the nitrous pull he let off at 6600 where the window switch cuts off. I plan to shift about 6800.

Could anyone lead me in the direction of some technical reading regarding detailed engine building that would help me better understand things like IVC, SCR, DCR and thing along those lines. I see that stuff being talked about all the time and I would like to understand more about it.
