Default what do you guys think of the port job on these heads???

this guy is asking $695 shipped for these 243 heads with a "stg 2" port job and decked .020"

now i plan on decking any set of 243's i get and as cheap as ive found them is $350 and a deck job locally would be around $175-200 so id be $550 into them by then with stock ports

im just concerned that they would be hogged out too much to make any midrange power and i also wouldnt have the guy polish the combustion chambers since my lq4 is already gonna have low enough compression

but here they are:

First off ,,,,,,when I hear terms such as "stg2" referring to cylinder heads features first thing that comes to mind is "CNCed" and from the pictures I would'nt place those heads in with the "stg2's" or the "CNCed's" ,,,,,,,,They look pretty rough at least at this stage and if I were You ,,,,,,I would keep looking and be patient and You'll probably run across a set of 243's that have been ported by at the very least a beginner pro status as far as porting heads is concerned and at a reasonable price

yeah im pretty skeptical about them, but i thought id post em up here to see if there was something there that i wasnt seeing, the guy says they flow 300cfm at .600 lift and then 2 minutes later says he doesnt have flow charts or any real data supporting that claim but he knows that they do because he has 40 years of experience.....

yup..id say pass on those heads.unless he wants to sell them for next to nothing ..only then would it be worth trying to properly port/polish them.

When the response keeps changing, I've learned to move on.
Someone either knows exactly what they have, or they aren't sure what they have.

They look sketchy for someone with 40 years of experience. I'd pass on them.
