Rear is fine. 3 bolts there. It's along both sides. I don't want this crap leaking. Maybe the bolts that hold it down to the motor will compress the gasket?

My 92 did the same thing when I changed rope gaskets. Just torque the bolts to spec. When you bolt it on with the head bolts it'll suck in and be tight all the way around.

K that's what I was hoping to hear. Might have it running next week since I'll have the PCM back as well.

This is how I spend my Saturday night... building an engine crane in my living room.

Luckily, it folds up.

It was too damn hot to build it in the garage. So I brought the pieces in, cranked the A/C down, had some hard cider, and watched TV while putting my new toy together.

Where'd you get it Jake? I like that one.

**edit**

Never mind. Found it in your "pulling engine from the top" thread: Harbor Freight 2 ton.

I bought an engine hoist like that almost twenty years ago. It's amazing how much I have used it over the years. Definitely a good investment.

Well, I didn't get a chance to work on the car until Sunday and then it was Sunday at like 7pm before when we got started. Anyway, the car isn't high enough to pull the motor and trans out together... But at least the trans is out now...

Glad to see my trans go to a bad *** build

BTW about that engine hoist, I have that same harbor freight special. You can buy a leveler from them which I'd recommend, and bolt it to a bracket to use on the valley plate to hoist it out/in. worked like a charm.

That's better than the AutoZonr thing I picked up (but its a 4 chain leveler). I don't think I can adjust it quite right. I guess I'll play with it then return it.

And thanks brother. The trans looks awesome. I'm glad I picked it up. The one in there was a junkyard special (the dot on it is the mark of the big u-pull it place here). Im afraid of what would have happened with that trans. Yikes.

Finally got the BeCool yesterday. With the BeCool rebate, Summit price match, free BeCool Coolant and Radiator Cap, and some Summit bucks I had, this wasn't very costly at all. Much beefier than even the LT1. Good to 700HP. I got the Manual version as I will run stainless braided lines from the AN fittings on the FLT Level 6 to the B&M Trans cooler (mounted dope style). Should stay nice and cool... which is important here in FL, especially since I'm milling the TEA heads down more and going to be running 11.8:1 CR and 9.0:1 DCR on 93 octane.

I'd look into getting a cooler with AN fittings so you don't have to use clamps to secure the lines to the cooler's nipple fittings. I see alot of guys go dope style but found that mounting the cooler on the Rad works great and if in stop and go traffic the fans will help to keep the fluid cooler.

I'll just pick up a couple of NPT cooler to #6AN fittings for like $8.

Thanks Will!
