what about the TPIS LS6 modified 90mm intake? Lingenfelter has a nice comparison on their website. Has anyone tried these on a H/C 346?

Just a new approach to the porting with some additional mods I learned when I was beating it off yet again on the flowbench (a ported 102), trying to pull yet even more air from it to help the results of my 454 build.

Ive been including that additional porting work/reshaping in all the 102's I have ported since then which is going back a good 18 months or so at this point. This is the type of R&D I referenced in my earlier posts and this just adds to the stupid hours I had already invested in these previously.

Guys....regarding the 90mm TPIS upgrade.....you cant just put a big opening on a stock LS6 intake and expect it to kick azz. The problem is inherent in all the design compromises GM made originally in the plenum and the runner entrance, runner cross section, and shape....all the real meat and potato's of manifold design cant be addressed and you cant open the LS6 intake and take out the grinder to do anything about it. A stock FAST will make more power.....a properly modified FAST will make alot more power. Its just a better designed piece that was designed with performance in mind at the inception of the manifold....its apples and oranges in some respects.

Hi Tony since we are on the topic, what's the best to do with the Ls2 heads, they are meant to be getting CNC ported here which seems best price wise, but what are your recommendations? Yes and bigger TB sounds like the go but it's the $800 extra they want for it lol

All I have to say is......why do the trucks get all the fun! Ok, I bet it would fit a muscle car as well.

Glad you commented on the TPIS mod to the LS6 intake. I get real tired of seeing "ported LS6 intake" because, what the hell can you port? You can't take it apart. Maybe port match...nothing more.

I took my 102 apart, set the base on the engine, located it and marked the ports for matching to the AFR 205 heads. I have to say, the 102 isn't cast all that accurately......

Honestly ported stock cathedral heads are middle of the road....you really need to look into a clean sheet design like the AFR or TFS heads (both proven performers)

Ported stock castings have so many limitations....Ive posted volumes on this stuff years ago....search is your friend like I mentioned in my first response to you....LOL

I know there are some dealers in your neck of the woods that sell AFR....spend the extra coin....its well worth it.

went with the fast manifold and big mouth tb. couldnt be any more happy with results. my mild port LS2 is $100 if anyone needs it lol

now if only the 102 would fit under the C5 cowl without cutting up the cowl and lowering the engine....Because I don't want to do that I am stuck with having to go with a ported 92.

the standard 102 (LSXR) will fit in a C5, its the truck version 102 (LSXRT) that won't fit.

the standard version "fits" but does not do so without modification to your cowl and/or lowering the engine/cradle. It is not simply a bolt on as it should be.

Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone can help me, so I'm getting a 232/234 cam in my Ls2, and getting heads ported too along worth the FAST 102 intake and 102 Tb,

Question is will I need bigger injectors on this setup? Obviously I want the car to perform well so just thought I'd ask if they need upgrading, and maybe fuel pump too?
