i have them in my shortblock. apparently the guy who used to own JE pistons now owns autotec/racetec pistons. ive had to call them several times to ask questions about my particular pistons, and they were very helpful.

http://www.racetecpistons.com/rt_history.htm

the guy who built my engine uses these pistons in most of his builds and he stands behind his work.

Exactly what ZZ said.
Possibly some of the nicest pistons money can buy. I have a good line on a custom set through somebody and they'll be going into my LS7 build when everything gets sorted out.

zzcamaro hit the nail on the head. Wayne Brooks former owner of JE came out of retirement and started up RaceTec. I too have a custom set of RaceTec's in my stroker shortblock. Very nice pieces!!

they are a smaller company, but their quality control is probably a lot better because they are a smaller and they take the time to inspect everything. i didnt realize how good they were supposed to be until after i bought them.

I haven't dealt with them first hand but I haven't heard much bad about them either so I can't say one way or another. They do look like a quality piece though.

Ended up buying wiseco pistons. Got a good deal with rings and all. The guys at race tech never got back to me, I send them specs and all and never got a call or email back.
