Default hey guys. 98 ls1 valve cover issue!

My 1998 ls1 has center bolt valve covers? Anyway, I had to cut and grind the battles out on the valve covers for them to fit flush. Now I'm getting excessive oil out my pcv system. From what I can tell, I have the comp trunion upgrade. Idk about much else, why did I have to cut my covers?

not stock rockers.

Take a picture under the valve cover. What heads are they? Not stock (for that car) heads certainly.

Here's the pic I had. The valve guides are black and say comp cams.

^ What he said. Get some stock rockers, and remove that mess. Those aren't stock rockers, or valve springs.

Look like comp or jegs roller replacements. They're extremely heavy, and larger then stock, especially in the lock area (center) and require guideplates. Stock stuff doesn't need any of that, is smaller and lighter and generally work better.
