Finally pulling the trigger! Thoughts? *Updated with some pics
Soo i have been getting parts collected for the last year. Finally ordering heads and cam this month. hoping this next week. Anyways, long story short is i have been planning on prc225cc heads, just don't know if i can pull the trigger on that. So the heads i have decided to go with is thompson motorsports cnc 243. The heads don't seem to be used much around here. Yet Talking to well known local shops they say they have had great results. Just can't beat the price. Anyways those heads, tick v2 231/235 with all the essentials, bolt ons, pulley etc... Will be seeing a 150 shot somewhere around spring most likely. Just seeing what y'all think how this would perform? Car won't be dynoed, will be street tuned with wide band. So numbers will have to wait till a dyno day appears.

I'm so Confident the prc 227 head will outpower the other head that I'll offer you this. Dyno both side by side and if the prc head doesn't make 15-20hp more I'll take them back.
with a prc head your get a aftermarket casting that supports more power, has better valve angle, better pv, and a cnc valve job that's cut on a newen cnc seat and guide machine!

Thats what i have heard. Another reason i wanna go with their heads is i feel like they will be a pretty decent head and would like to bring them more business. Im confident the car will run really strong for what it is. 1 of my first races will be a 150 shot bolt on ls1 and a buddies full bolt on ported termi. Those should give me a good idea of the car.

I run PRC 5.3 heads with a TMS cam. Here is a race against my buddy's full bolt on ported termi Cobra. I also was running a LS6 intake and a crappier tune back then. I think it would be the other way around now

Thanks! Back then it was right around 420 on stingy mustang dyno, but on a dynojet probably more like 450. To give you an idea that Cobra ran 11.2 @ 124
That bolt on 150 shot LS1 might give you problem as well. I run a 150 shot too, and when it hits it hits hard lol

Thats not bad at all! so you prolly trapping 121-123 range? Seen some guys with the tick v2 going almost 120 with cam only stock heads, so figuring with a decent head ill be in the low 120's all motor. Yes thats for sure, the car was tuned on a 100 and made a substantial gain. Added a fuel pump and an UD pulley, pulled 2 degrees and have only done 1 hit on it and holy **** its a completely different car now. Don't know the numbers, just know it runs for damn sure.

I think your setup will run good! Here's a t-rex stock 241 head LS1 with 4.10's vs that same Cobra. The Camaro has trapped 120 to the Termis 124. Note how much closer my race with the same Cobra was.

Im hoping so! I feel like it should do pretty well, seen really great things from the cam, i like how you don't have to re to 7k and makes good amount of torque. Also have ftp lid and 85 mm maf going on as well. What plug should i be running? from searching it looks to be tr-6?
